Alexandra Gomes de Brandão

Alexandra Gomes de Brandão is a Physiotherapist licensed by the Lisbon School of Health Technology, dedicated to functional recovery and the promotion of balanced and conscious health. Her clinical practice was born from a simple conviction: that good care involves being truly present, with knowledge, listening, and genuine attention to each person.

Driven by scientific curiosity and a genuine desire to understand the human body in depth, she specialised in Neuromuscular Physiotherapy, through postgraduate studies at the Escola Superior de Saúde da Cruz Vermelha Portuguesa. Throughout her professional career, she has dedicated herself to the treatment and rehabilitation of neuromuscular diseases such as stroke, Parkinson's, Multiple Sclerosis and Facial Palsy, becoming a leading figure in this field in Portugal.

In 2020, she joined Facial Therapy Specialists International (FTSI) and the Facial Paralysis Unit at CUF Tejo Hospital, pioneering the development of specialised physiotherapy protocols for Facial Paralysis, an area in which she continues to innovate and train other professionals. She is currently continuing this work at Integrativa, in Restelo (Lisbon), where she deepens the clinical and human approach in the care of people with nervous system dysfunctions.

With a global and integrative vision, she is also a Clinical Pilates Instructor, certified by the Australian Physiotherapy and Pilates Institute (APPI). Her own pregnancy sparked a deep interest in Women's Health Physiotherapy, an experience that made her understand, from the inside, how important this support is. Since then, she has specialised in Pelvic Floor Rehabilitation, Antenatal Preparation and Postnatal Support, assisting women in different life stages with sensitivity, empathy, and scientific rigour.

At Integrativa, Alexandra Gomes combines technical knowledge, clinical experience, and empathetic listening, offering personalised and effective physiotherapy in Lisbon, centred on the individual and their functional balance and overall well-being.
