Clinical Pilates and Reformer

Clinical Pilates focus on posture, balance and gives strength for the activities of daily life.

Pilates is a physical training method based on motor control and body awareness, focusing on the quality of all body movements. Clinical Pilates is an adaptation of traditional Pilates developed by physiotherapists, making it a safe, low-intensity, low-impact form of physical activity that promotes flexibility, muscle strengthening, balance, and postural correction.

At Integrativa, clinical Pilates sessions are individualised and carried out on the floor/ mat (Mattwork) or on equipment (Reformer, Mattwall, Split combo pedal chair, Spine corrector).

Before starting, an assessment is carried out to find out each student's clinical and physical condition.

A few well-done movements, performed in a correct and balanced way, are worth many hours of gymnastics.     Joseph Pilates

Clinical Pilates and Reformer

Reformer

The Reformer is an advanced piece of Pilates equipment, similar to a sliding bed with springs. It allows for both global and specific work, helping to improve strength, flexibility, mobility, coordination and balance.

The Reformer is used to work all the muscles in upright, sitting, lying, four-legged and standing positions. Because springs of different intensities are used, it allows you to maximise different muscle actions and various types of contraction. In addition, the Reformer's instability promotes stability challenges, which help to develop muscle strength and improve balance. With the use of the Reformer combined with the Cadillac/Mattwall tower, additional benefits can be realised.

At Integrativa, we use the clinical Pilates method adapted to traditional Pilates apparatus to ensure safe and personalised use according to physical condition and, if necessary, clinical situation.

Your body is your greatest asset, it holds and reflects your soul. Look after it like a precious stone and we'll polish it.     Joseph Pilates

Reformer

The Reformer enables both global and specific work, helping to improve strength, flexibility, mobility, coordination and balance.
Thanks to its versatility, it allows you to activate all your muscles in different positions - lying down, sitting, standing, four-legged or upright.

The springs with adjustable intensities offer adjustable resistance, making it possible to vary the muscle stimulus and explore different types of contraction. In addition, the Reformer's natural instability challenges the body to find its balance point, promoting stability, muscle strengthening and greater body awareness.

At Integrativa, we apply the clinical Pilates method adapted to traditional Pilates equipment. Thus, each practice is personalised, respecting the individual's physical condition and, when necessary, adjusted to specific clinical situations - guaranteeing safety, effectiveness and well-being in each session.
